    @Joedogwillie sorry for your loss indeed this song seemed destined for you to hear was it fate or pure chance,who’s to say but given your own story of your dad’s life i would say it was destined for you to hear, at that time.

    My stepfather, took on 6 kids, raised and supported them. He never played an instrument and couldnt sing but for some reason this reminds me of him… was an amazing human beign

    I sure miss my dad… Instant tears come when I hear this song… He always played stuff like this when I grew up… I sure miss his smile and his arms around me.. He passed on July 13th 09 and I miss him so much.. I don’t think we can tell our loved ones “I love you” enough… Thanks Dan for saying what I feel in this song… **crying**

    I was asked to write something to be read at my dad’s funeral. I used some of the lyrics from this song. It was always one of my favorites.
    I recall once Dan came to Tampa and played a concert unplug.

    @Joedogwillie i had a similar situation. reminds me of my father as well. I guess we are just legacies to the leader of our family bands. They are legacies to the leader of THE BAND of all of us
