everything about this song is simply amazing. dont get me wrong, i love what mr. trucks did here, but its that driving bass line with that awesome blend of percussion that makes me groove with this song the whole way through
I heard there was a …
I heard there was a band in the SF Bay area back in the 70’s named REDEYE. They had 2 fantastic guitarists that played as good and a times better than Dicky and Duane. They went by the names of Eddie Fingers and Ronnie Bopp. I heard they are still playing individually with different bands and may get together in 2010 to do a concert and CD.

The Fact is all of the ABB Guitar players from Daune to Derek have been great in there own way! the thing that matters most is that the music lives on!
I once wanted to …
I once wanted to start a radio station in Macon Georgia. It would have been WABB, all Allman Brothers, all the time.
This has always …
This has always been one of my favorites by the Allman Brothers. The percussion is beautiful and Warren and Derek knock me out. Does anyone know what it is called — what’s being projected on the screen? How do they do that? It’s beautiful!
I grew up on the …
I grew up on the Allman Brothers Band. Discovered them in ‘70 when a cousin in a local band loaned me the debut LP. The band remains my fave blues-rock outfit to this day. Now, no one can ultimately or absolutely replace the legendary Duane Allman. Pointless to assert otherwise. Yet I dare say Derek is awesome in his own right. Warren is technically very proficient as well, and soulful. “At Fillmore East” forever, man. But the band is still clearly in it’s element onstage. Rock on ABB!!!
Warren and Derek …
Warren and Derek are great guitar players
Duane and Dicky are special guitar players

I have always believed in the power and influence music has over us all, maybe some more than others what I’m getting at is at one of the lowest points of my life when i was truly losing hope I played this song over and over I can’t tell you how many times but somewhere after a few hours I felt the power a special kind of power I got up and put on my walking shoes , went outside and rejoined the human race. I n
Im sick of people …
Im sick of people making negative comments about Derek because they miss Duane. Duane Allman was one the greatest of all time!!! But this kid is amazing!!!

hey dummy dum dum, …
hey dummy dum dum, i didnt say anything against duane or dicky, i said that warren haynes and derek trucks are just as good as duane and dicky. its close minded ppl like you that wont ever to be able to take music for what it is. and for your information the allman brothers never really did to well on the charts sir! and the only songs they did do good on were the songs that dicky wrote. rocking horse is a pretty good song in my opinion
RULE 1: Never, ever …
RULE 1: Never, ever say anything against Duanne. Thats like saying Paul Stanley is a better guitar player than Eric Clapton,……and Eric Clapton admired Duanne Allman, as did Jimmy Hendrix. Rule 2: Dicket Betts wrote some powerful hits, dont compare him to nobody. Derek and Warren havent written a classic Allman bros. tune yet, if my memory serves me well. Rock On, Rock Steady.
I have scars from Allman Bros. Band Concerts that are probably older than YOU are!
