How do I find band members? A website or asking random people?

Me and my friend are looking for band members and we don’t know where to start. Do we just ask random people if they play a instrument and like the same type as us or do we go to a website? If you know a musician website that is free and have YOUNG members on it and not just 40 years old rockers than tell me. ALL ADVICE IS WELCOMED

go to shows where bands you guys like. not only will there be a f’n ton of people there that like the same type of music you guys like, but there is bound to be some musicians there too!

post flyers around places asking people to join and if a lot of people want to have them audition

Set up an audition and send a event invite to everybody on facebook.

See if there any jam sessions around, that you can do.
I have found a lot of work that way.

also many music stores, have a "bulletin board",
where you can post help wanted ads, looking for band mates.
