Forgive my lack of computer knowledge, I’m kind of a novice.

I’m not sure you can stop another domain from being pointed to your IP address. However if this is being done (as you said) so that users do not have to remember the number then perhaps the solution would be for you to buy your own domain name and point it to that IP address.

The animation is so soft and you can’t even see a pixilated graphic in the animation. can someone update me with this kint of animation.thanks in advance

The animation is made with several sets of png images and a gif (for the waterfall). Only the gif is "self animated", the other animations are produced through script code.

Same with backgrounds. If they wanted to change their background and promulgate it to the rest of their site, is there a way to make one change and have it effect the whole website?

Is there a technique that does this and where can I learn it?

I use the non-php SSI and works very well for me as I only have to edit the nav menu include file and it will be updated on all pages when I upload and overwrite the same include file online. I have more than one include file for different things I can change which appear on all my site’s pages.

The background image change for all pages would be on the external CSS file that all pages will link to. All you have to do is change the image, give it the same name on the CSS file, upload it via FTP and overwrite the other background image file. Saves editing the CSS file by just naming the image the same as the original.

First no serious web designer EVER writes actual pages as you see them. The menus are written into one page and that is often built from stored information in a database. That page is then included in any pages where it is required. Most pages carry a basic layout, this includes images for backgrounds, icons etc by reading in either further data, or by reading css. Alter the css and any css formatted areas with the same ID or class will change at the same time. There are generally NO actual pages written for any of my sites, I use a few scripts to read in data, display it according to a few html tags and use css for all formatting

I don’t have a facebook page or myspace page because I prefer keeping myself private. I don’t really want my contact details plastered over a work website (obviously their not going to put my home address or phone number there, but still).

Is this legal for them to do this without my permission? Am I within my rights to say I don’t want this?

You can always say you’d rather not, but if it’s only works details, I think you’ll have to go along with it. Suggest they only use your first name.
