“The Only Exception” is a song by Paramore, which is the third single from his album, “Brand New Eyes” video was released on February 17, 2010
Williams has stated that the song was inspired by the divorce of their parents at an early age. The song talks about how divorce at a young age can have a big impact on a child and lead them to believe that love does not exist.

The video for “The Only Exception” was recorded the last days of January and was led by Brandon Chesbro, a longtime friend and photographer of the band.
The video may be viewed on Wednesday, February 17th, 2010 from the official http://www.paramore.net registered users only.
The clip opens with singer Hayley Williams awakening on a couch beside a man and write a note saying “sorry”. From there walk to the next room and embraces a man who, based on the letters, is probably intended to be his father. The video continues with Williams in his room looking in the mirror, singing about how love does not exist. Then moves through a wardrobe of costumes and then goes to a restaurant where there is a line of boys who rotate for a date with her.
In a transition of the video, moves in next door, where a wedding – all dressed in white, but Williams comes dressed in black. And flees the scene when the bride enters.
During the chorus, the clip goes to the most original scene in the video track: Williams sings ( “Honey, you are the only exception) while lying on a giant pile of cards Valentine made by fans. According to Williams’ Twitter, the cards were requested by the band and sent them.
In the last moments of the video, Williams places her dream boy in the crowd at a rock concert (the same guy with whom she wakes up in the beginning of the video), fantasizes about them back together and back again through the various rooms to the original scene. Back to the couch where her dream boy is still sleeping
CURIOSITIES
The man who comes in the music video playing Hayley’s dad is really his father. The only Exception is the first video clip recorded by Brandon Chesbro and yet the video is excellent. Brandon Chesbro is a photographer of the band and was working with them on The Final Riot Everything was done from the video recording to editing in just 4 days.
