maybe if your … maybe if your history was better feller and no it wasn’t meant as an insult, America won the war in the Pacific, and the manhattan project had U.K scientists involved also, we made no diff to european campaign, it merely sped things up by a couple of months, the Russians would have steam rolled it anyway, and one of the big pushes to get the atom bomb ready was to get in there before the Russian go in, and finish japan, it just wasn’t about saving more live earlier.
