Eve Online: Jovian Ships

Posted by admin on April 11th, 2010 and filed under website. their | 25 Comments »

About that SOCT 1 frigate: CCP used same hull for the Apotheosis shuttle; you can see the name of it in left top corner (so you know its not fake).

Not much is known about Jovian technology and their rare appearence shrouds these ships in mystery. Known for their technological superiority, the Jovian ships all possess large defensive capabilities and massive attack potential.

Common Features:

* Nearly impenetrable defense

* More fitting slots than average ships

* Very strong sensor strength

* Not flyable by players at this time

Video and music taken from PC game Eve Online made by CCP. Only thing i made is this small video.

I haven’t tested facts about these ships; they are all taken from chronicles about Jove on CCP’s website. Most of them say these ships are powerful; in Amarr race description its mentioned that small fleet of Jove ships defeated Huge Amarr fleet. So some things must be true… (Still i never said anything is true tho :P )

Lyrics:

[Sagan]
If you wish to make an apple pie from scratch
You must first invent the universe

Space is filled with a network of wormholes
You might emerge somewhere else in space
Some when-else in time

The sky calls to us
If we do not destroy ourselves
We will one day venture to the stars

A still more glorious dawn awaits
Not a sunrise, but a galaxy rise
A morning filled with 400 billion suns
The rising of the milky way

The Cosmos is full beyond measure of elegant truths
Of exquisite interrelationships
Of the awesome machinery of nature

I believe our future depends powerfully
On how well we understand this cosmos
In which we float like a mote of dust
In the morning sky

But the brain does much more than just recollect
It inter-compares, it synthesizes, it analyzes
it generates abstractions

The simplest thought like the concept of the number one
Has an elaborate logical underpinning
The brain has its own language
For testing the structure and consistency of the world

[Hawking]
For thousands of years
People have wondered about the universe
Did it stretch out forever
Or was there a limit

From the big bang to black holes
From dark matter to a possible big crunch
Our image of the universe today
Is full of strange sounding ideas

[Sagan}
How lucky we are to live in this time
The first moment in human history
When we are in fact visiting other worlds

The surface of the earth is the shore of the cosmic ocean
Recently we’ve waded a little way out
And the water seems inviting

Mars World That Never Was

Posted by admin on February 20th, 2010 and filed under offical website | 18 Comments »

Just about every two years, the planet Mars makes its closest approach to Earth around 36 million miles. Thats when we pack our robotic emissaries off to the Red Planet, timing their launches to spend the least effort to get there. These probes may pave the way for human explorers and, perhaps permanent settlers wholl dig deeper still in search of answers to our most pressing question: Did Mars develop far enough and stay that way long enough for life to arise?

The Incredible Journey of Apollo 12

Posted by admin on February 17th, 2010 and filed under offical website | 21 Comments »

It’s the ultimate buddy movie. Forty years ago, on November 19, 1969, astronauts Pete Conrad and Alan Bean landed on the moon in one of the most important of the Apollo flights. This video shows them making a pinpoint landing on a treacherous lunar surface, finding rocks, and generally having a blast. The program features an interview with Pete Conrad, filmed a year before he died in a tragic motorcycle accident in 1999. Credit Space.com with editorial assistance.
