I want to replicate the style of a currently website, My designers want me to release his liability ?

My designer is willing to replicate a current website’s style but want us to offer a signed release form in case there is any copy rights violated. But this site will not be exactly the same; just the layout will be similar?

What do you think?

You really should come up with your own design…. If you "copy" someone elses website eventually the search engines will stop indexing yours because it is the same or similar to the other guys.

Sounds a lot like plagiarism, but oh well.
