A lot of people will design websites for you (if it's a fairly simple project, like an informational site for a local organization, you could probably find a geek like me to do it for free) but you need to be certain that it's easy to maintain. A lot of the time it will be difficult to modify or update a site once it's created, and I wouldn't put it past people to make sites intentionally difficult to maintain. Big expensive exploitative companies will offer to make you a site and then charge you indefinitely to maintain it. This is not cool. If you'd like, drop me a line with your requirements along with any logos you want integrated, if it isn't that big I'll put something together for free.
