There are many ways to market a small business on the web. You can buy banner ads, text links, or use PPC. However, the best way is to get listed in a bunch of portals. Portals and directories are like phone books, and they often provide a lot of traffic because they tend to rank high on Google.

I think that depends on what you have to advertise. Ask yourself what kind of people would be on this vacation site and would they be interested in what you have. The site looks fairly good so I do not think that will be a problem.

advertising on such site may not be fruitful or may bring effective outcomes.

In advertising strategy you must select a channel (a web site) which is popular even if it is not popular the name of channel must be like a channel that is advertising.

"www.funtripslive.com" reading it ; everyone will asume it a JOKING SITE (FUNNY SMS etc), so it is not a good idea to advertise on that site.
