Is it true that websites owners get profit when people visit their website?
I know that websites owners get profit from the adds on their websites but a friend of mine told me that when you visit a website you get the owner a profit!
Is that true?

Well, the workflow is like this:
Create a great website –> lots of viewers –> famous site –> many advertising agency/private business want to put the ads in the website because there are lots of people visit the site, therefore –> wider target market & 1 out of 3 visitors will buy or at least following the ad banner

yes of course, because companies want to advertise on web site where there is a minimum amount of traffic
(television is much more expensive than radio, and so, the web site with many visitors are more expensive than web site without visitors)
