Full Story: http://www.davecarrollmusic.com/story/united-breaks-guitars – In the spring of 2008, Sons of Maxwell were traveling to Nebraska for a one-week tour and my Taylor guitar was witnessed being thrown by United Airlines baggage handlers in Chicago. I discovered later that the $3500 guitar was severely damaged. They didnt deny the experience occurred but for nine months the various people I communicated with put the responsibility for dealing with the damage on everyone other than themselves and finally said they would do nothing to compensate me for my loss. So I promised the last person to finally say no to compensation (Ms. Irlweg) that I would write and produce three songs about my experience with United Airlines and make videos for each to be viewed online by anyone in the world. it’s bad enough the airline service is poor these days, charging people for their food, blankets, pillows, entertainment, (and now even your bags!!) etc… but for them not to reimburse you for damage THEY caused, let alone not assume any accountability/responsibility for their actions to this singer is terrible…
i’m glad he was able to get the word out …UNITED overbooked me one time with no remorse/accountability and i’ve not flown United since

This one struck a nerve with me. I had the same thing happen to me 25 years ago. I flew out to new york on United with my 1969 Blue Ridge model Gibson Acoustic. When I arrived the head stock of my guitar was completely broken off. I fought with United and never received satisfaction. I vowed never to fly United again and I haven’t. Jeff

Out fu@king standing. Great song and a better message. Hope it stays on line forever. My wife and I flew from LA to Inyokern a few years back. We were the only 2 people on board. (42 +/- passenger seats, prop job) No service, not even a bag of peanuts, and they lost our luggage. Took 31/2 months to get it back. Go Figure. Fu@K United.

Great song!! Airlines are making multi-millions of dollars for charging a luggage fee. About time someone stood up to these people. I hope you make tons of money from this song and I hope United Airlines starts to respect us and treats our baggage with more care.
