When people get paid to have sponsors on their website, how much traffic equals how much money?

Is their a number/range of traffic a website needs to get to be paid a sum of money? (ex. 5,000 people visiting daily would equal how much money?)

Sites are usally paid on a sliding scale for the numer of Hits. The compensation is open to negotiation.
